Toys for 18-month-olds are starting to get interesting. Fine motor control becomes more important as children learn to articulate their fingers in order to rotate, position and investigate objects. This is the age of wooden blocks, trolleys, simple puzzles, shape sorters and stacking toys. It is the time of heuristic play.
