Autumn walks and leaf crowns!

Our Mr Goodwood and Mrs Goodwood toys love going on Autumn walks with their little trusty dog! Autumn is the perfect season for leaf collecting as the leaves start to dry out and change colour. There are so many different shades of leaves to collect from the lush greens to Autumn browns and oranges. Why not go on a little walk with your family and see how many different colours and leaves you can find?
Once you’ve got a good leaf collection you can make your own leaf crown as shown below!
This is a really simple craft to do with all the family and can be done without any bought items.
For a really natural crown we used willow and wound it into around the head to create the crown base. Willow is super flexible and stays in place once twisted together. Next simply weave the leaves into the willow crown and ta-da! You have your own leaf crown!

If you haven’t got any willow trees near by, you can use a strip of card for your crown instead, (see below). Once you’ve measured a strip of card to fit the head, you can then wrap a piece of double sided tape around the outside of the card ready to stick your leaves on! Simple and beautiful! Complete your doll family with Amy who comes with her very own rabbit, or Edward who comes with a skateboard!
