Amy and her rabbit go acorn hunting

Amy Goodwood and her rabbit go everywhere together! And today they’ve gone on a Autumn walk
To find some acorns for a simple craft we’ve created here.
Here’s how you can make yours:
Collect as many acorns as your can fit in your pockets! It doesn’t matter if their ‘hats’ have fallen off, just remember to collect some of them too.
When you get home ask an adult to help you carefully draw some simple simple faces onto each
Acorn using a permanent black pen (we used a black sharpie as it’s easy for small hands to use).
craft ideas for children acorn hunting
You could always practise drawing some faces first on some paper before drawing them on the acorns. We’ve found a fun tutorial for children showing how to draw kawaii faces. We’ve added the link below where you can also download a free print out to practise drawing your faces on.
If any of your acorns hats fall off like ours did, you can use a small bit of tack, double sided tape or glue to stick them back on!
Have fun creating yours and we'd love to see your finished acorn families if you have time to share with us here at Tender Leaf!
why not pair lovely Amy with her best friend Ayana or brother Edward?
